Fail to lock the bootloader after instal - Pixel 7

Hi everyone !

After flashing the official build for Pixel 7 Panther, I failed to lock the bootloader.
I did that command :
fastboot flashing lock

and it returned :

FAILED (remote: ‘invalid android images, skip locking’)
fastboot: error: Command failed

How can I lock it ?
Or will I have trouble if I don’t ? (I red I may have issues with bank app…)

You only mention the one lock command. What happened the abv custom key etc mentioned in the install page?
Install /e/OS on a Google Pixel 7 - “panther”

As I failed to flash with the install instructions I just forgot to refer to it for locking
It worked perfectly !

Hi,

Should I use the same operation to lock the bootloader on pixel 7a “lynx” ?

I have issue with some banking apps

The pixel 7a “lynx” doc does not mention relocking the bootloader

The documentation only shows relocking for a small number of devices.

If relocking is not there then it is not possible with the ROM as delivered and installed.
