Fairphone 5 Android 14 with /e/ 2.6?

So 2.6 is now out, or 2.6.2 even, that brings Android 14.

The release notes are confusing though. They say official devices will go first (Fairphone 5 being official since its brought from Murena) however in the release notes it says only a community version is available for Fairphone 5.

What does this even mean? Will I be able to OTA to Android 14 or not? If not should I figure out how to flash community or wait for there to be “official” version? Will official version ever happen? When? etc.

Currently I can’t see anything OTA.

I know “asking for ETAs” is “frowned upon” but as a paying customer some clarity as to what I should actually do would be nice.

v2.6 has not been released as yet.

Thank you @Manoj and I apologise if I got mixed up. I did read somewhere I cant remember if it was on here or on Gitlab somewhere, but it may have been an unofficial place or on a branch or something.

If FP5 is going to be official you can more or less ignore me.

If FP5 is going to be “community” any help with the rest of the post would be most appreciated.

Any device sold on the Murena store will get or already has an official build. If the team has not released an official build as yet, it is due to some bugs they still need to fix.

In my opinion /e/ is running behind the bus .
there is already a GSI fully degoogled on A15 en another Voltage 4.01 also on A15 .
While /e/ is still on A13

As far as I know Lineage is on 14 still, which is why /e/ is going to switch to 14 as well. They are indeed behind altough they are slowly catching up when you look at the android versions ported to /e/ over the years.

Is there already a degoogled Android 15 with microg included?

as far as I know Voltage and LeOS are in A15 and degoogled with microG
Voltage is a rom
LeOS is an Gsi

They are behind… for me its more the firmwares I am interested in (from Fairphone, that only work with Android 14) more than the Android 14 features themselves. Just wanting a bit more stability.

Also since I am not using the Fairphone at the moment I might as well wait for A14 to do a fresh install if its only around the corner.
