Fairphone 5 update from community build to official build, dirty sideload possible ? How?

Hello all,

I am running /e/ OS 3.0.1 A14-u community and would like to move to /e/ OS 3.0.1or2 A14-u official. My goal is to lock the bootloader and more importantly; get the OTA upgrade to A15 that maybe will not be available on the community build.

Is it possible to sideload the .zip image with adb from the recovery update menu as I did it many times on Samsung phones already running Lineage or other /e/ OS version (even different android versions :slight_smile: ) ?
I can see that the installation script flash_FP5_factory.sh holds many lines necessary to erase the original Android system and cache like: CLEAN_FLASH=true
If sideloading will not work, which line from the installation script shall I run ?

The crux is ROMs with the prefix IMG- contain the install script. So these images are not as regular Samsung update ROMs.

You should be able to the find the OTA package … a bit like this method Feedback for v3.0 - #203 by nicofonk.
