Fairphone (6) + /e/ – Touch screen sometimes not working after unlock?

I have a Fairphone 6 running /e/ OS. Sometimes when I unlock the screen, it shows up, but does not respond to touch input. I have to press the power button twice to turn the screen off and on again, then usually it works (I had to try three times in one case).

Anybody else observing this? If so, any solution, because it can sometimes be quite annoying.

I do remember that I also had that with my older Fairphone 3 at some point, but it got better.

You are not one - I have this also. It happens, perhaps, 1 in 25 screen unlocks or so. And like you, it’s fine when I sleep the phone (ie, tap the power button) and wake it again. Not enough to make me annoyed, but just often enough to wish it didn’t happen!

Yep I’m having the same problem too.

Yes, same here.

It helps, to swipe down from the top, so I don’t need to relock - unlock.

Sometimes the fingerprint sensor is completely “blind” since this upgrade.

I have exactly the same problem since I got the phone (july). You have to wait approximatly 5 seconds until the screen is working again but it is actually a bit annoying. I think also its a software problem because the /e/ os forum is the only place where people complained about it. So its not happening in the stock android version I suppose.

Interesting, I haven’t noticed that it works after some time. Thanks for letting us know.

There is an option for it ifmwe mean the same thing. Itmis part of lockscreen settings.

But I think in the past I found out stock does behave diffrently than /e/OS
