Fairphone 6 moments on e/os

Looking for info. Does the Murena version of Fairphone 6 still utilize the Moments feature that comes with stock fairphone? It would be my main reason to upgrade to the 6 from FP4.

It does not. Currently the switch disables the camera and mic. But it’s via software not hardware. (So it can get out of sync or be bypassed)

There is a ticket in to give that switch more functionality, but I don’t know when it’ll go anywhere.

Would also love to see an option to use the switch to at least select different profiles or set to airplane mode.

Shouldn’t be that difficult to build.

Yes, it would be great to have more functionality for this. e.g. enable DND or flight mode.

I’m sure the function for camera and mic is an important feature for some people, but for me it’s just a waste of a perfectly usable switch.

Fairphone Moments is not available on devices running Murena eOS, only on Android for Fairphone. On devices running Murena eOS the physical switch will enable & disable your camera and microphone access to easily safeguard your privacy when needed. We are working with the team at Murena to see if we can expand the options assigned to the switch as you see on your The Fairphone (Gen. 6) running Android.
