Some context for the /e/ community might help:
This is new for the Fairphone 4. The files to install Fairphone OS from scratch were announced for some time, but they weren’t there yet (Fairphone took some time with this for the Fairphone 3 back then, too).
So installing a custom ROM like /e/OS yourself on the Fairphone 4 was a bit risky because there was no official do-it-yourself way back to Fairphone OS … until now.
