using lens 1 still produces a blurry image in HDR mode

Issue reported here. Pl add your comments to it if you want to add more inputs.

I noticed (FP3+ here) that sometimes Maps (after struggling for whole minutes to catch a signal) pretends I’m roughly one street block away from my actual position (or worse – sometimes whole kilometers) and that I’m always approximately facing east (?).

In such cases, a trick I found is to go back to the home screen – or switch to another app via the “Recent apps” button – and then come back to Maps. It seems to sometimes force a refresh of the position or whatever and then I get far better results. Still not sure exactly what’s going on, but at least it’s more or less usable if I’m patient enough. :woman_shrugging:

Regarding Nr 1: The problem was actually caused by the obviously faulty battery.

Thanks for the hint, I will try that!

System Updater seems to not respect the frequency setting. I set it to 30 minutes since there is an update coming, but it does not check every 30 minutes or at least does not show it in the “last checked” section. Also there were no notifications about available updates in the past (I am on e/OS for half a year).
Anyone else with that problem?

It usually helps to press the ‘refresh’ button atleast 4 times.

Do you get an error or any other message?

Checking for updates manually works, it’s the automated checking and the notifications that seem to not work properly. There are no error messages.

You could try to delete the storage of the updater app.

Are you on stable or dev?

@hakunamatata I already have the same problem and reported it on the forum. Sometimes I got the notification and sometimes I had to manually refresh the updater. I have no idea what’s causing this.

@mihi How do you delete the storage of the update manager ? It isn’t even listed in the apps manager settings.

As of today, still no update available fot my Murena Fairphone 3 currently running 2.4.1-t-20241008439851-official-FP3.

Official/stable is always bit later, no worries in that regard.

Deleting storage is Settings-> All apps → 3 dots right corner ‘show system apps’ then you can use the search fur ‘updater’. Something like that.

Please be aware then the settings of the updater are reset

@mihi my bad I completely forget the system apps were hidden xD
I just found it and came back here to tell about.
Regarding the update to 2.5, I’m impatiently waiting
Thanks.

Almost perfect but

  • Sometimes Magic Earth tells I’m not connected to internet, so cannot propose a direction ( I am connected, and what about the gps ?)
  • Sometimes the phone reboots at night… I am going to buy an alarm-clock, this is dangerous !

Thank you for updating this old phone
