Update went smoothly, I noticed a boost in battery life… except when using GPS.
I only tested extensively using Organic Maps. There I noticed the system is slow at determinig precisely where I am (easily searching for 30s in open area), and quickly loses track of my location when I move (biking, so even reasonably “slow”).
This also goes along with super high battery consumption. This afternoon I tested more extensively, and could drain ~50% of the battery within <20min.
using v2.5 and exactly the same version of program everything was working as expected (GPS would lock within seconds and I could actually use it for hours using the same app.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for opening the issue.
The work-around that I found (set text and icon size to maximum, and then immediately resetting them) works, but needs to be done every time you power-up. It discourages you from powering-down.
I tried to download that update. I enabled the “Connect to /e/OS test channel” option, but when I went to “Updater” and did a refresh, I received the message “No new updates found”.
I had the Bliss problem on 2.6.4-t however, not 2.6.3-u, so that may be why I can’t get the update.

Sorry, I overlooked the fact that Someone69’s post is about version 2.6.4-t and not 2.6.4-u.
In the meantime there is a new version 2.7 available, it should not more be required to receive the update via the test channel. But I don’t know whether the fix is also merged into 2.7-t.
Someone69’s issue #8459 (where both 2.6.3-u and 2.6.4-t are reported as affected) is still open.
So, I’ve been stuck @ 2.4 for a while because I use the anonymous mode for the app lounge which was broken before and after this version. Can anyone confirm or deny that this if fixed in 2.6?
Also, unrelated but it’s been eerily silent and I can’t find the concerning topic anymore, what is up with the cloud services these days? I’ve paid money for it, but haven’t been able to use my picture sync for MONTHS now. The sync isn’t working at all, since I still get occasional errors (HTTP 4/500 when syncing) which they told ‘would be fixed’ but that too, has not materialized.
I used GSam Battery Monitor, and Accu Battery, but haven’t seen big drainage by any app so after few weeks i had to reinstall my phone which was something i would really want to avoid. Thank you anyway.
Another little but in my opinion annoying thing is the icon of the clock app. It has an classical / analogue appearance and indicates hours and minutes - and also seconds. The indicator for seconds is ticking, so to say. I really do not like that, for me it feels hectic. In the clock settings I have seconds disabled. But here they are shown here among the other apps.
Hi
I downloaded and installed v2.7 on my FP4. This version fixed a part of esim issue. Now, i can take my messages and phone again. Thank to the developers.
Unfortunately, it does’t solve an other problem, i met several months ago, as far as i installed a esim (an other provider than the physical sim paid by my boss). I cannot use them at the same time.
Other people met this problem. Is it possible to fix it?
Not sure we understand each other. I’ve 2 numbers, one for each providers (work and private).
It was fine with my FP2 (2 slots, 2 sims). With FP 4, only one slot and they say: you can add esim.
But if it’s not the same provider, we have a problem. What can we do? The only way, is to choose to change my provider and take the same than my boss?
I noticed the exact same thing on a Galaxy S10 (beyond1lte). If you just pause it’s fine. If you stop it leave it a while and try to continue there is no continue, you can just start over.
This used to work in version before just fine.Somewhat curious Linageos replaced the music app (eleven), which /E/os also uses in their android 15 and they have archived the code base.
