It might be worth to check with the app Fairphone Checkup to see if the screen problem registers there as “broken” in some way.
Hi @hannesh @truemind
Were you using Anonymous mode of AppLounge or using a Google account to check. Also are you getting them on all apps or specific apps, pl can you share the app names if possible.
Thanks @Manoj , I was getting this for any apps not already installed, when logged in. Switching to anonymous seems to make it work.
Thanks for the update. I have passed these comments to the developers to check.
The touchscreen doesn’t work at all. I cannot take the phone in use because it doesn’t work. Not even shutting down the phone is possible the normal way…
I believe Fairphones can fail due to loose ribbon connections to the screen but this is surly a case for Contact Us.
After updating Android Auto manually from appstore I checked the functionality of the apps.
Google Maps is working fine.
I get sound from Amazon Music but Android Auto refuses to open the app in Android Auto. Same with other Apps installed.
So basically Android Auto works but almost no app or the widget in the app with AA.

The update was fast ans smooth.
AA was not working until I updated it from App Lounge manually.
I also have some reboot when using the camera for more than 30 seconds (this is arbitrary!)
Thanks very much to the e/OS team for all this great work.

Hi,
My Fairphone 6 also reboots randomly, which is a real problem as I’m on call.
Eos 3.6-a15
Well If you choose on the contact us the option “Phone with /e/ OS installed by me” than I can’t send it. It tells me to go to the forum… ![]()
I must admit I’m a bit surprised nobody else seemed to have the same issue as it happend for me with two phones at once.
Well I wait if someone else has any idea otherwise I might need the help of Fairphone…

- still battery drain with MoblieData ON + Wifi OFF
- Low volume during calls
Hi Olli_GT,

Thanks

- Not rooted
Systematic Android Auto communication error 14, frequent unsolicited reboots and frequent loss of ability to list or connect to wifi (have to reboot to fix), 3.6 have been a significant downgrade in stability not mentioning the break of android auto that is critical to me.
If Android Auto is critical, /e/OS would seem the wrong choice of OS.
Nobody can ever guarantee Android Auto working on /e/OS for any given point in time.
Not getting raided by secret police or having my GPS location leaked to an hostile FPV operator is still more critical so I’ll stick with it ![]()
e/OS/ still brings more android auto certainty than my home-made kernel-patched rooted googless system and is still the best trade-off I can think of ^^

The update works fast und well. The phone has 2 issues:
- Calls are very quiet, as others have also mentioned.
- Since at least version 3.4, the battery has been draining very quickly. The phone doesn’t last a whole day. With moderate use, it’s dead by around 6 pm.

There is a maybe workaround:
Turn off mobile data if you don’t need it all the time (…maybe ….)
OR
if Wifi often possible for you: Turn On
AND switch in developer settings “Mobile data always active” to OFF
(= if Wifi connected is mobile data automatically off)

Teracube 2e Emerald updated from eOS 3.5. Phone operates correctly. Saw the Radio FM app in 3.5, but thought it was a streaming audio program. Tried it out now in 3.6 and it is definitely a plus to play OTA FM radio on my device. Thanks!
Thank you for adding this to GitLab
