Strange to see complaints that adaptive brightness is too dark, I’m seeing kind-of the opposite, i.e. I like the screen far darker than most people, so I pull on the slider to bring it down a lot, but then after every reboot it just shoots back up to some retina-melting value around 75%, instead of staying where I left it. This is regardless of ambient brightness, so I don’t think it’s the adaptive algorithm doing it. The automated part keeps working with smaller increments up and down around the point you left it at when you last dragged it manually, but on reboot I think it just forgets this last manual anchoring and just goes back up to super-bright like it’s a fresh install(?).
