Fingerprint enrolment never completes

I bought a Murena One phone at the Murena shop a few weeks ago. I updated the device to the latest version of /e/OS.

The problem is that I cannot complete the fingerprint enrolment. I always get the error message “fingerprint enrolment time limit reached” after about 60 per cent of the process.

Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try?

I was able to solve the problem. The secret is that you have to remove your finger from the sensor as soon as the progress bar has moved forward. My mistake was that I always waited until I was prompted to lift my finger and place it on the sensor again.
