Been testing e/os out on my pro1x as secondary device and made the switch to my main device Pixel 7A yesterday. So far I am liking it a lot! The integration with nextcloud is seemless and exactly how I would like a device to work. I am still getting used to some old habits, but so far so good.
There are a few things that I think would be cool to be included in future versions, some are a little particular and others are likely in the works.
JTX integration from the start, simply cause it supports vjournal but also can handles tasks and notes aswell in place of the Tasks app, only caveat is it need Davx to sync.
The other is Thunderbird, which I know the current app is k-9 but I updated already to the new thunderbird.
One caveat that i discovered, though i should have tested it first, but Google Messages RCS is not functional even if you install the app separately (yes i know the arguments against). So I am really hoping the QKSMS gets to RCS status at some point, I do prefer RCS over all.
Those are the few things on feedback, but overall really enjoying it!
That’s the challenge i am running into at the moment, I installed Google Messages but see under RCS Chats “RCS Chats aren’t available for this device” which leaves me wondering the what to do?
Yeah I’ll have to figure out a hack to either get a device to restore the backup to export the sms. Or backup my current install and reinstall do it that way.
I have used RCS on LineageOS with mind the Gapps installed without any problems; so it has to be due to differences between mGapps and microG if its not working on e/os.
I am a few weeks in, not sure if this is a ticket type thing, but have people run into less responsive screen touch on occassion? It happens with AnntennaPod more often but also on the widget screen and apps. I just notice it more on the pod cause I use it most often
