Hello /e/ community!!! So I have a question this morning; I’m wondering what happens if I take a phone ( i.e. Pocophone) and flash /e/ on it, this week, and send it out to my friend. What will happen with updates? Will he run into problems with updating phone? He knows almost nothing about tech, so I’m worried in that regard!

It really depends on the phone. And sometimes for a mysterious reason (my case) a phone run into issue with microG and OTA update, but a same other phone works perfectly.
