I’m using a non-rooted Fairphone 6 with the latest version, and I’ve noticed that the “Find My Device” feature isn’t very practical at all because the code is single-use—so if a thief steals my phone, I only have one chance to find it… Either this is a bug or a security flaw, because it means we’ll never be able to find our phone. Also, when the phone is locked, the thief shouldn’t be able to switch it to airplane mode…
Plus, maybe you could create an app where we could track our phone in real time if it’s lost.
Finally, this tracking in case of theft should be possible even with location services turned off and the phone powered down. I don’t know if that’s possible.
