Hi,
I just wanted to point out that creating an account for this forum was not possible for me using Firefox on eOS. Using the eOS-browser worked. I don’t have any special blockers active so maybe you could check what is wrong here @Manoj ?

Yet still the default-config of ff might be too strict, have you tried changing the settings with regards to cookies (maybe even only eOS-related ones) as that is what your screenshot points towards?
(Might be not related but my experience with desktop-ff is that the defaults already break functions of e.g. shops whereas defaults of librewolf do not…)
Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve generally disabled tracking protection from eOS and tried to switch off “Verbesserter Tracking-Schutz” (=improved tracking protection) in firefox. I also cleared cookie and website data for the forum. Didn’t help.
For me it is “fixed” as I obviously have an account now ![]()
But I think it would be great to make the forum as accessible as possible - so in case there was an easy fix on the forum side…
can’t reproduce in mobile Firefox by now.
But the error is coming up over the years at discourse with different causes.. ![]()
we cannot detect if your account was created, please ensure you have cookies enabled
What I do when I want to create new accounts is to make sure I am not in private browsing mode, create the account (and if I want save the password) . Once account is created I then open a browser in private mode and try they account again.
Another thing to try is open the account using a PC/laptop as opposed to a phone where you have simpler access to privacy controls.
