The reason I hadn’t worked it out is that the Optional Tags list does not act as a normal, scrollable drop down list. It only returns the first 5 search results, which means if you don’t already know the tag names, it is of limited use.
Allowing easier scrolling of full search results would help discover tags. Admin time and user engagement could both be improved by this change.
A full, sortable list of tags is here though I’m unsure why there seem inconsistencies: Use app-clock and app-mail but browser and maps, not app-browser etc
