I find the /e/ forum’s method of specifying a category for a new post, very confusing and counter-intuitive. Instead of presenting you with a list of available categories/sub-categories, it only offers auto-complete. This means you need to at least vaguely know what category you’re looking for. If you do not know, it becomes impossible to accurately place your post into the existing category structure.
Is there any reason for this design choice? is there any way of changing it or overcoming this issue? Is there a trick that I’m missing?
