Today, for no apparent reason, after restarting, the fingerprint function disappeared.
I tried turning the device off and restarting it, but the fingerprint function seems to have disappeared for good.
I updated to version 3.1.1 a few days ago, but the fingerprint feature was still there.
It’s a shame, because I use it a lot.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I recall reading it before (months ago) on the Forum, did you try to search for other such occurences?
Hi and thank you. I just read a few posts about the same issue, but on FP5 and FP6. The solutions suggested do not apply to my case. It seems to be related to Android 15, on which e/os 3.1.1 is based. Unless e/os provides an update, the fingerprint feature will not return easily 
That’s weird. I’ve frozen microG with Shelter and it seems to be back. 
There is also a14 of 3.1.1 but not relevant.
You could try to delete storage of microg app not sure it helps and what else you need to set again then to make other things work again.
