FP3 turned itself off and won't turn on again

Hello everyone ! My FP3 has turned off itself without any particular event (no fall or shock) and won’t turn on again. The battery was not empty. I tried to remove and replace battery and SIM card (I have no SD card) but no change. And when I put the battery in charge there is no charge indicator on. For information the phone is at the latest /e/OS version and I changed the battery few months ago. I tried to press the buttons several seconds (power button alone then with volume + button then volume - button) to force the restart but nothing on the screen, no vibration of the phone. Do you have any idea to help me ? Thanks !

@urs_lesse Didn’t you help me some time ago to solve this problem?:thinking:

motherboard module 10 minutes into the oven, at 200°C-220°C

There was also some button combination or buttons pressing while charging, I can’t remember how I solver id 3 years ago :see_no_evil::see_no_evil:

Hello Piero, thank you for the answer. I have already seen this method, but I don’t know how to be sure if my problem is indeed related to a core module issue… And I think I hope different point of views before I start using this “last chance” method

Absence of even LED and vibration is indeed no good sign. :expressionless:

If indeed it cannot be rescued (if the reflow succeeds, use its new life to immediately backup everything, it might not last long), you can offer/sell parts including the much sought after rear module (you will have to separate this from the motherboard for the reflow anyway) on the Fairphone Community Forum’s unofficial marketplace.

Hello Urs, thank you for the answer. I will try first to remove and clean every components and connection, then I guess I will have no choice and try this oven method. I will keep you informed, thanks !
