Clearing Updater storage/cache did not work for me.
What do?
Fumbled around with it for a while, restarted and it updated to 1.16. The updater then caused crashes again until I fumbled with the cache and restarted more. I’m on 1.17 (current) now.
The updater entry in the settings menu said “update in progress” while after crashing.
