Hello,
I have asked this before and I had very nice and comprehensive replies.
Nevertheless I’d like to ask again because better safe than sorry while passing through major versions (from 2.x to 3.x) and because of my very limited experience.
I have an FP4 with /e/OS 2.9-a14-20250321478214-official-FP4 and I’d now like to OTA update to the latest 3.1.4-a14 official.
When I check for /e/OS updates from the FP4 I see various /e/OS versions.
Is it safe to OTA update from my current 2.9 directly to 3.1.4 thus skipping all the available in-between versions which I see while checking for updates?
Or should I first pass from one or more of the versions in between 2.9 and 3.1.4?
Yes, I am planning to update around mid October and the plan was indeed to report in the “Feedback for v3.1.4” thread for the first time.
I wrote “for the first time” because it’s not that long that I started closely following these two threads:
- “Week x, 202x: Development and Testing Updates”
- “Feedback for vx”
