During the system installation via the web installer, the phone turned off and won’t turn on anymore. It’s not responding at all. Fairphone 5.
Is this the end of its life?
Of course this is a problem, but there are reports of Fairphone failing to start for odd reasons.
You will be fine if you can reach Fastboot mode.
The regular install method Install /e/OS on a Fairphone FP5 - “FP5” runs essentially from Fastboot mode.

The phone won’t turn on. I’ve tried various combinations: power button, power button + volume up, power button + volume down… I took the battery out. Nothing.
Upsetting, sorry to hear this. Here are some of the examples of Fairphone failing to start.
Search results for 'phone won't start' - Fairphone Community Forum. I do hope that if you leave it alone for a while perhaps with the battery out it can recover.
The very worst but still unlikely case is that Fairphone can reimage the phone for a fee of ~60€.
I don’t think that there is a case on the forum where eosinstaller bricked a phone.
