Two days ago, I updated my Murena FP6 (non-rooted) to the official version 4.1.1 A16.
Now I want to set up the available backup feature for the first time.
I managed to get it working in principle, but the problem is that my current Murena cloud storage is only 1 GB in size.
The backup process starts, but the 1 GB runs out halfway through, so it never completes.
I have my own Nextcloud instance available; I’ve set up a WebDAV account and configured a mount point for it.
However, only the Murena cloud is available in the backup configuration window, and I cannot change this setting.
Alternatively, it would make sense to be able to exclude specific apps from the backup—apps you don’t actually want to back up.
“Magic Earth” is a good example here; who needs a backup for that?
It would also be much more elegant to back up just the list of apps rather than the apps themselves.
After all, when performing a fresh install, you simply reinstall the apps from the App Lounge, right?
If you only backed up emails, contacts, the app list, etc., 1 GB would certainly be more than enough.
Similar problem here. I’ve been using e/OS with a custom Nextcloud server, and until now, it worked well. But it looks like the backups app is the first to use a Murena-specific API instead of the generic Nextcloud API, so I can’t get it to work.
Same here, the backup is unusable for me as is on FP5. (not enough space with app backup).
I don’t have any other Cloud instance though so i was hoping the 1go would be enough.
Came here to raise this exact point. It appears to be backing up all the apps which just nukes the storage space. Can we just sync app config or similar? (Is that possible?)
