Fp6 roll back to android to fix pin issue

I have installed e/os on fp6 that originally came with android. Now i face issue of not being able to set a device pin, probably because i set pin, fingerprint and face lock. I did not delete those when installing eos. I found this thread about not be able to set pin on eos: Fairphone 6 – Unable to Set PIN After Installing /e/OS 3.0.2

Because the FP6 comes with an anti-rollback feature, is it also important to use security patch version >= then current e/os version? Or is that only important when installing e/os on android?

anti-rollback works both ways, but is only a hazard when you lock the phone. Thus a rollback to Android just to remove the Google accout, if that is the issue, is expected to be safe as long as you fully respect the Anti rollback if you later decide to lock the bootloader. Now installation of /e/os went successful.

Here is what I did. Maybe it’s helpful for others as well.

And my FP6 is working great!

Not sure what the trick really was, but anybody with more knowledge of this case, please adjust the command line manual that:

  • remove pin / finger print / face recognition before logout playstore
  • one should logout from playstore before installing /e/OS
  • remove the simcard before installing /e/OS
  • how to return to bootloader after fastboot flashing lock_critical, otherwise it starts /e/OS and this was a bad thing as I understood from the forum
