FP6: WiFi very slow and connection lost wiht no internet access and exclamation mark

Hey!
I’m new to Murena, but now the 3 FP (4,5,6). The FP6 is running murena, but not very fine.

Mostly the (in other devices stable) WiFi Connection is lost: the WiFi sign has the explcamation mark (!) and says: no internet access. Also it’s very slow. Seems to check some things via WiFi (every time: picture in Mastodon are loaded a while later!) and then it load’s quite ok, but slow.

What can I do? DNS is mine, WiFi and Internet is absolutely stable with other devices. Not to murena /e/OS 3.1.3 (now updating with very slow download).

Hi Frank!

I had a similar issue with my Fairphone 6 (murena edition). Connection was really slow on my home wifi network, with many timeouts. My laptop and other phones work flawless.

I read somewhere a user mentioned that the Fairphone don’t like high channels. I changed my operating frequency to 5180 MHz (channel 36) for my wifi. Please try!

I hope any of these changes can make it work for you, since it was really annoying with these timeouts.

Hi there,

I had the same issue (no wifi especially on app store and mail app) but esim data working.
Did you manage to fix it ? I personally tried to factory reset the FP6 but to no avail.
So I returned the phone as I could not solve that issue, to me a that critical tech not working is a dealbreaker

Perhaps the thing about “high frequency bands” was not correct, because I got issues again later.

Currently, for about 2 weeks now, I have disabled 5 GHz wifi at home, and only use 2.5 GHz. It is slower but I have not experienced timeouts again.

Hi to all!

I’ve done al little bit in channels and 5Ghz, but can this be correct, that I switch off 5Ghz or some channels, to work with it? On a free or open wifi there can’t be such settings, so this particular phone can work… sorry for my english. At home it can do this, but never on any Wifi… So 2,4Ghz is working, but I must try some more.

FF4 and 5 are not so problematic here.
