From IPhone to Fairphone

Hello, I am currently an iPhone user and looking to replace my phone with the fairphone 6. I am wondering if there are any former iPhone users who have made the jump and what their experience may be so far? I have a handful of apps I need for work and may need to just keep my older phone to access but want to break up the big tech!

Which apps concretely?

Really just need these three circled and not work related but hoping I can still access Libby.

Slack looks ok. This is the result of search from Plexus

Pass for both

de-Googled
A device that runs without any proprietary Google apps or services.
microG
A device that runs an open-source replacement for Google Play Services.

The search link seems not to transfer correctly but expected to be able to run to make further searches.

GoTo “no reports” there, rather low privacy score here Report for com.logmein.gotoconnect 2026.3.0 - εxodus, may suffer if it fails to perform with trackers blocked. Potentially a bit intrusive (??).

Plexus says Libby is Gold on microG. I don’t recognise the Authentiator from the icon.

I switched from iPhone. Libby works nicely.

I am located in US. No problems with any of the apps on the Fairphone 6. Only Android Auto is a little weird, but also I refuse to install the Google apps for it. That’s my choice…

KaseyaOne Authenticator, App Lounge says “requires Google Play Services” and has two trackers. - Don’t know this app. But if this is one of the many (like Bitwarden A., Microsoft A.) which show you just a down counting number you could probably use Aegis Authenticator which comes free of this crap.
