At long last have decided to flash /e to this phone for my wife. But it has now developed a major issue with calls
Anyway we need to know if I have to dump this phone after 2 years or flash /e
Essentially it can’t call out, the screen shows number etc but no ring tone.
It can’t receive, the phone shows nothing when trying to ring into it.
It can make and receive texts.
What I’ve done:
The obvious. Checked for do not disturb, turned it on off, went into recovery emptied cache, switched Sims etc etc
I would be inclined to call (or visit? if possible) the carrier.
a) maybe it could be some carrier issue if the phone was unused for a while? Conceivably their APN changed? apn.
b) if the phone has developed a hardware fault the carrier should be able to tell that calls are failing, for instance, because the phone is not transmitting signals correctly; I would guess they had some routine to test that signal is within certain ranges.
