Galaxy S10+ SM-G975F/DS beyond2lte screen DPI set to 420, while should be 525

Hello.

I am just wondering why screen DPI is set to 420, while actual physical DPI is 525.

Could this be fixed with next update?

Poke a bit in your Display settings, I think you can set it there.
Samsung does that too, so you get better battery life.

Edit: Samsung S7:

I have been there. There is no way to get to native DPI of 525. Why do we change DPI anyway. This should be done via scaling, not via changing DPI. Changing DPI leads to worse quality of displaying, especially fonts. Changing DPI shouldn’t change icon size either, but it does. Is this part of Android design? It is funny that raising DPI makes icons bigger, which is exactly opposite to what is expected.

I am just wondering how much of that can be adjusted by user and how much it is hard coded in ROM.

I appreciate hard work of developers. There are few things, which I would change, especially after almost 10 years of being exposed to Samsung being ahead of Android itself.
