I am surprised about the fact that within three pre-installed apps of my new Murena phone the Google Analytics Tracker has been detected: E-mail app, Browser app and AppLounge. Yes, the tracker can be blocked. However, I had expected that a degoogled phone would not comprise pre-installed apps containing the Google Analytics Tracker. Unfortunately, these apps cannot be deinstalled.
Searching in the browser or receiving emails with Google-related links might trigger advanced privacy. The same applies to AppLounge. Specifically for apps that are downloaded from Google play store in AppLounge, so it’s something we can’t really avoid. We could potentially silence it, but that’s not ideal as it would mean tinkering with the code which we definitely want to avoid.
We don’t have any analytics in our apps.
Thank you for your answer. I am relieved to hear that the detected tracker is not part of the apps itself and that Google related links might trigger AP.
I am positively surprised how fast I got a response. Thank you for the effort.
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I think you are right. @Manoj confirmed that Google related links (which are not part of the app itself) might trigger advanced privacy.
Also, after having similar issues myself, i was taking a deep dive into settings and a page come up with options to deny all G choices should they appear. Please dont ask me where i found it😅
@Peter4@Jets A couple of days ago, i checked my advanced privacy and it told me i had three trackkers found.[g]
