this is interesting - the rules would only apply for a period of 3 years (!) though “to level the playing field”:

Google will have to distribute rival third-party app stores within Google Play, and it must give rival third-party app stores access to the full catalog of Google Play apps, unless developers opt out individually.

Nice, but I’m looking forward to real antitrust. Also: Apple has better lawyers.

Google will go to the court of appeal (I hope this is the correct term). But hell yeah, this is interesting!
