Hello,
I have followed the following tuto https://doc.e.foundation/devices/lynx/install with success.
At the end, it does not say to lock the boot loader again with something like

fastboot flashing lock

Should I ?
Thanks for your help.

No, don’t do it.

I think you can trust the documentation to be complete.

On the page https://doc.e.foundation/devices/lynx we see the section “Bootloader relocking support” Data unavailable is not helpful … but it means No … a very small proportion of /e/OS ROMs can be locked after install.

Ok.
Thanks for your answer.

Downgraded from android 16 to 15 and installed e/OS following your instructions. Worked like a charm, thank you!

@ds451 exactly, what instructions did you follow to downgrade from 16 to 15? thanks

I followed the link @piero suggested in a previous post.

You select the stock image for your device (“lynx”, in this case) and if you are on a Chrome browser you can simply click Flash and the process is quite straightforward (you may need to install the Google USB driver).

@ds451 thanks but unfortunately for 6a (my case) there is no ota or image less than 16. Only 16 there is :frowning:

Oh, I see. Seems there’s been some issues with the 6a and Google pulled all previous version. However a XDA user made an archive with several factory images for the 6a, including A15, use at your own risk!

Hi,
now there is a new image from may 2025 instead of april, which should I take now?

for the downgrade…

Thanks°!

Though this does not always prove true in technology (and even less in life in general), usually the more recent is better.

I recommend using the chrome browser install of Android 15 as I had picked the most recent one and it gave issues with the Wizard Setup for me, but the standard 15 from the chrome browser solved it

May firmware is a trap !
You won’t be abble to downgrade if needed
