Google Play Dienste deinstallieren?

Hello,

on our Fairphone 3 with e/OS 3.6 ist Google Play Service intaled. Now i wanted to delete/deinstall it, but it seams that this is not possible…

Could anybody tell me how to deinstall Google-Play-Service on e/OS?

Thanks!

What you are seeing are not the genuine Google Play Services, but their Open Source replacement microG.
microG is included in /e/OS to ensure a high level of compatibility to Google-dependent Apps, and part of the job of microG is to pose as Google Play Services so that Google-dependent Apps see they are installed.

Ah ok, I was wondering,

because it appears in Aurora Store under “Updates” (see Screenshot)

Yes, this is microG working as intended, and Aurora Store couldn’t uninstall or update those Google Play Services successfully even if you tried, because they aren’t the real Google Play Services. So, at least nothing can break there at any point.

But it sure is a confusing look, if you didn’t know beforehand. Many Aurora Store users have encountered this.
If it bothers you seeing this, you can let Aurora Store just worry about the Apps it installed itself, and this will be gone …

OK, thanks!

My problem is also, that in App-Lounge I can not install apps since months…

I can find them in App-Lounge, klick “install”, but then nothing else happens…

So I’m using Aurora and it works…
