Groan... Please help me get my work g-account setup

Hi all,

Disclaimer: I’m not the purist I would like to be when it comes to getting rid of Google. Do not have the time to make things work. Moving to e/os is a step forward though.

I need to add a work gmail account. Have tried through Bluemail and K-9 with no success. Thought perhaps I needed to add account to microG. Did that. Seems to have done nothing - doesn’t display that it has been added.

Questions:

  1. Am I doing something wrong? What do I need to make it work?

  2. Can I remove the account from microG? I really do want as minimal connection to Google as possible, even though my understanding is that’s not really what microG is about anyway :man_shrugging:

Appreciate you probably need more info… Tell me what you need.

You can use it as PWA (Progressive Web App), maybe.

Open gmail in the browser (bromite) and install it on desktop.

maybe that’s enough. It’s only the work mail account :smiley:

As far as I know K-9 Mail does work with gmail accounts. Probably worth looking in the K-9 Mail forums
