I have 2 problems that make me want to go back to Google.
1) I cannot use DB Navigator on my /e/OS. Ive already downloaded Firefox and used that as my default browser, as this was the suggested solution on another post. But I still cannot login.
2) I cannot stop murena from auto syncing my personal files (pictures etc). I do not want to be forced to buy storage space because it wont let me stop auto syncing. The toggle button as suggested by others is not visible in my version.
What can I do? Or should I just give up and go back to Android? es
Above view first: does have the option, not visible in the partial view, to toggle off “Auto sync data”. Post Script, as we see below, toggled OFF Auto Sync Data actually removes the control achieved with toggled ON.
This second view assumes that you do have “Auto sync data” toggled on.
Where, for this job, tap on Account sync (not the “red ring My Account”). The image shows 7 out of 8 items sync corresponding to “photos etc excluded” as per the guide above.
I just launched the DB Navigator app (on my Fairphone 3+ running /e/OS 3.6-A15-community) and when I went into the REISEN (journeys) section to see my tickets, I was prompted to login – and that worked on the first attempt. As I have not booked any tickets after August, I just tried to claim compensation for a past journey and the app led me straight to the form (that is where I cancelled, of course ).
So apparently there must be a solution for you login issue, it does not seem to be non-functional per se in /e/OS. Until November, I actually used DB Navigator permanently for the Deutschlandticket.
What is your /e/OS version? (Settings > About this phone)
Problems can arise especially if your version is lower than Android 13 (also labeled “T” in /e/OS), and Android 13 might soon start to cause issues, too.
I cannot find and Option to turn off auto sync. Other users have reported similar issues. Older versions apparently have the option to turn off auto sync for certain objects, but the newest version doesn’t. There’s neither a toggle on/off button nor any option under the three dots. Only option I have is “to sync now”
I had turned that option off weeks ago because it ate up my battery, but it still kept syncing files automatically daily without my doing, eating up my storage…
I have now turned that option on and turned off pictures etc.
