I’m an Italian citizen and I am using the PosteID service to get my digital identity (thought it made more sense to use Poste which is public, at least on paper, rather than a private company). I have seen a few users saying that PosteID runs well on their /e/OS handsets. I am on an unrooted Fairphone 3 (FP3) running /e/OS 3.2-t-20251022539004 Official.
I saw one thread recommending Magisk but I suppose that is only needed if your phone is rooted (I did download it but I have no idea how to use it).
I have tried disabling /e/’s IP spoofing but it didn’t help, nor did allowing the Adobe marketing tracker the app has. I have uninstalled the app from App Lounge and redownloaded it from Aurora but nothing changed. The app presents the error code AI-01 but there doesn’t seem to be any kind of documentation about it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Hi same problem here on Teracube 2e phone with /e/OS pre-installed, now on version 3.4.
I had the phone just subtitued due to a problem on the charger, on the previouse one worked just fine (OS version was 3.2 if I remember well).
The application just say “Error on start up“ (TIMEOUT-AI-01).
Please help: it’s afundamental application nowadays.
Hello jnthnki, thanks again and sorry for asking for more help - should I start the bug report before trying to open the app or right after? Thanks (I have tried both but haven’t been able to figure this out by reading the report)
(By the way, second question: are the reports stored anywhere in local memory or are they deleted after having been sent?)
Same situation, PosteID does not work. But for most applications you can use the app CieID ,that works perfectly fine if you have a digital ID Italian card!
Thanks, Attila. Yes, I’m fairly sure the CIE is going to entirely replace SPID - and it’s good to hear that the CieID app works on /e/, I haven’t downloaded it yet myself - still I think it’s important to also get PosteID to work!
@Sphairos If you don’t save the bug report, it’s going to be lost. But you share it directly by mail with yourself once the bugreport has been generated.
I’ve just sent my bug report, too. Hope this help.
By the way I was not able to open an issue on gitlab: even though I registred I cuold only browse issues not create a new one.
Best,
@Sphairos@gersh0m From what I could see, PosteID is using Play Integrity to make sure you can use the app. To be able to pass the basic level of Play Integrity you need to be logged in with your Google account in microG. Can you install the Play Integrity API Checker and check if the Basic Level of Play Integrity is passing.
It seems like the PosteID requires the Device level of Play Integrity to pass, which today is not possible.
