Hidden IP and web browsing

Hi there!

Since I am using FP6 with e/OS I experienced a lot of problems with the Advanced Security Tools ( mostly hidden IP). I’ve read the documentation provided by Murena but to be honest it doesnt seem enough to understand fully how really works.

The main problem is while browsing with hidden IP enable - random country or specific national one-, there are some streaming services which do not work. Either YouTube, Spotube, Bandcamp or the proper websites simply doesn’t connect or I get the output of error 400-404 in video reproduction.

I’m using Vivaldi,Brave and E/OS browser and Ive been having the same result with my internet provider and others WiFi lines as well. YouTube says I need to identify to check the device it’s not a not for instance.

Do others have the same problems?

Advanced Privacy routes traffic over the Tor network. Websites can detect that a connection is coming from a Tor exit node. Some deliberately block such connections. The usual reason given is that malicious actions often come from them. Their is some truth in this. But I’m not convinced that most such connections are malicious. I think it’s just petty vindictiveness because they can’t get any useful data to sell on to brokers.
