How privacy-friendly is microG?

For someone like me, who uses at most 2 apps requiring Play Services and no Google apps whatsoever, and wants to stay off Google’s radar as much as it can be achieved, is microG privacy-friendly?

Does it ping anything to Google’s servers? Does it send my location to Google? Does it interact with Google in any way so that Google has any sort of data related to me or my device?

Thanks a lot!

Thank you for answering, though both

https://doc.e.foundation/support-topics/micro-g

and

https://doc.e.foundation/support-topics/guide-micro-g

did not give me an answer, sadly.

the latter faq entry is exhaustive: Connections made by /e/OSAnonymous calls to Google servers

If you do not rely on timely push notfications (incoming calls in messengers etc) you could disable those or all of microg for a trial if you experience any nuisance.
