How to avoid bricking my device : security patch

Hi everyone,

I want to migrate to /e/os but I am trying not to brick my device. On my FP4, the Android Security Patch Level is on 5th July 2023.

In Documentation, I could read : If you try installing a version of /e/OS based on a security patch that is older than the one on your device, you will brick your device.
And just a few lines below, it’s written : ** /e/OS build : [T dev] (Security patch: 2023-05-05)*
** /e/OS build : [S stable]- (Security patch: 2023-05-05)*
Should I wait for a more recent version ?

In the releases, it’s written " This /e/OS v1.15 includes the Android security patches available until August."
Is this version safe to install ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

Jay
