How to backup before reinstall e/OS

Hello

I have a Oneplus8 with e/OS T and I have to reinstall with A15 since i had no update since july.

I want to backup correctly before reinstalling.

I see a MurenaRecovery folder inside my murena.io storage.

Is there an automatic backup now in e/os, or some part of it ?

you can better dirty upgrade, this old topic is still valuable for android 15 based build

HowTo perform a dirty upgrade to “/e/OS-T” from a previous /e/ version ?

→ it is as simple as a dirty update…

there are multiple ways :

1. download the file, go to " → settings → system updater" and use the called “locale update” feature if you have it in the “3 dot menu”.

OR

2. download the file, boot the phone to the recovery mode and use “apply update” then “from internal storage” if your “recovery mode” have the feature.

OR

3. download the file on a SDcard, boot the phone to the recovery mode and use “apply update” then “from External SDcard” if your “recovery mode” have the feature.

OR

4. download the file on a computer, boot the phone to the recovery mode and use “apply update” then “from ADB” :

I want to backup

With your existing a14 build one would expect to find Settings > System > Backup. This is a Seedvault backup tool. As long as you take note of what it proposes to backup and make provision for those apps it reports unable to backup it is a useful addition to backup strategy.
