How to disable Home Screen App Suggestions

Hi.
Just started using my refurbished /e/ galaxy 9 and am impressed so far
I would like to be able to disable the home screen app suggestions, but the usual advice of long-pressing the home screen and being able to change the settings doesn’t seem to work.
Nothing happens with a long press. I can see the setting for ‘Home long press action’ is currently set to ‘Search Assistant’.
Any help greatly appreciated.

you can’t configure it or remove it, Sorry. But you ca use a launcher of your choice without it. I prefer TotalLauncher (High customizable) and a lot of people are using KISS launcher or open launcher. There are only a small group which are using the default BlissLauncher

ok, many thanks for the quick reply

Really? Only a small group?

I like Bliss. Do you have numbers?

I can configure « double press » to « recent »

Hi, welcome in the forum

You can disable suggestions by going in (on Pie, don’t know how it looks like on Oreo) : Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Usage access > Bliss Launcher > Not allowed.

So you have to disable the Usage access permission for Bliss Launcher.

Hi.
Ahh perfect! :grinning:
Many thanks.
after a few days with my /e/ s9, I’m more and more convinced it was a good decision.
Keep up the good work
