can i just flash the newest from the latest image or i need to start from a clean and reset / wipe losing all data?

if there’s no ota offered - upgrading with intact userdata to higher majors had good feedback for versions past A13 - just adb sideload, but always have backups.
Users had to reset app caches at times when issues past-upgrade cropped up, never seen that though myself.
