Hown setting private DNS with DNS4EU

Bonjour,

Cordialement

Hello,

Europe has been offering a public DNS for some time: DNS4EU For Public

I tried to configure my Pixel 5 redfin with E/OS 3.0.1 but unfortunately at the “Private DNS mode selection” it is impossible to register the DNS IP. I only have the option of giving the “Host name of the private DNS provider” which I don’t have.
Is there another way to do this?
Sincerely

These seem to be different organisations. Set up by the EC vs a french non-profit.

According to the website the one of the EC requires to choose a filtering option and then one has the choice of DoT (DNS on TLS). This includes “no filtering”.

Hello and thank you for your reply.
Indeed, these are two different organizations, one of which (DNS4EU) offers more filtering options.
But my problem is not solved, since when I exceed 5 characters for the host name during configuration, the “register” choice is no longer available (see screenshots).

I could enter this with copy and paste:
unfiltered.joindns4.eu

Is it possible there is a space behind the dot in your screenshot?

Oops! :upside_down_face:
You’re right, @ElJee I wasn’t paying attention. My keyboard automatically inserts a blank after the point.
Thank you so much!
