HTC One m9 installation

Hello,
I’d like to install /e/ on my HTC One m9. I’ve assumed I could use the installation for HTC One m8 since the 2 devices are almost the same.
Am I completely wrong here?

I think you’d need a custom build for the m9, the xda sort
