Huawei App and Bootloader Problem

Hello, I have a Fairphone with Murena OS. The system is good. I only have one problem. I own a Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro. When I try to open the Huawei app, nothing happens. The launcher usually crashes or freezes. I’ve already tried many things. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Because of this issue, I wanted to revert to the original firmware. Unfortunately, I can’t unlock the bootloader because I can’t enter the code during OEM unlocking. Before I installed E/OS, I was able to do it this way. Does anyone have any suggestions?

which Fairphone? pretty sure you can unlock, as in 7-tap in about phone, devmode, enable oem unlock, goto fastboot.

which appid is it? there’s so many Huawei apps.

just in case you’re not aware, gadgetbridge supports your device (more details). Edit: merge is only a month old, probably needs a nightly build.

I use the Fairphone 6. I use the Huawei GT 6 Pro watch.

when I flashed the Murena on my phone. I got a code. From the serial number and imie number. I then entered the code into OEM unlocking. Then the phone was unlocked. But I can no longer enter the code when unlocking the OEM. Or will he be asked for again? The bootloader is closed for me.

The Huwei app Health is active in the background. Only when I want to open the app, only the home screen appears. And it also often happens that the screen freezes or crashes. Bridge doesn’t support my watch.

here’s another report - https://old.reddit.com/r/Huawei/comments/1ofkbp4/huawei_health_on_alternative_android_os_is_not/ .. users say it works on A16

I assembled a logcat with the error loglevel on an v3.2 / A15 / FP3.. it can’t find lots of native libraries that should’ve been packed into the install?

Did you try to downgrade the App version?

(btw why the duplicate thread?)

Hello, thanks for the answer. Yes, I had an older version on it, my watch is a Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro. Also too new for the old versions. I forgot to mention that I use an FP6. I’ll wait and hope it gets resolved. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the system.

I kind of expect this to get solved with a subsequent update soon, Huawei will get reports for this. Looks like a small bug as in whenever you reinstall the App you get past the splash.

At times you can start another activity (internal screens of an App of sorts) to avoid some app flow that triggers the bug (similar to this Garmin thread where gpx import is not the main activity). I had no luck with this though. I also never saw a longer activity list in an App, looked like a whole OS by itself
