Unfortunately Huawei does not allow bootloaders to be unlocked. Which will be needed to flash any custom ROM. That makes it difficult to support.

If I unlock the bootloader with the instructions, can I flash e/?
If you are able to unlock the boot loader successfully you should be able to flash any custom ROM not only /e/.
Also do let us know if the unlock method works.
