I would buy a used Pixel 8 or another "compact" phone

Im currently happy with my second hand Zenfone 8, but battery life is under 60% and would rather use it as a backup device in case phone dies (which happpened with my FP3). Therefore i would be interested in buying a used Pixel 8 phone with /e/ if anyone is willing to sell.
Or any other ‘compact’ phone (max 6,2 inch) with similar specs.

Drlivery woul be to Spain.

Thanks

If you want to go a refurbished route (which I did and battery was great, since it was graded high on everything) then a bit more compact than Pixel 8 would be Pixel 5.

Thanks @mihi The size of the Pixel 5 is nice, but since it’s a 5 year old phone, I’m not sure if it will be able to handle 4-5 years without beeing very slow (older chip, 90 hz…). Nevertheless, it was already on my radar, but it’s out of stock in the Murena shop.

And yes, refurbished is an OK option for me (it’s a pitty that the price difference between refurbished and new in Murena shop is very small, I think in general the refurbished ones are more than 40€ cheaper than new ones). But I understand that it depends on stock, grade…

Hi mihi,

I found a refurbished Pixel 5 with /e/ installed by the previous owner in the second hand market for 100€, but the battery was not very good, even if the phone was purchased about 6 months ago. Im taking it to a repair shop to replace the battery for a new one and hopefully turn the pixel 5 into my primary device. Thanks for the tip.

Did you ever check the ‘health’ of the battery in the battery settings? You can see there the expected % what the capacity could be.

Good luck with the repairshop, hope they can improve your capacity.

How do you check the battery health? I looked in battery settings but couldnt find anything related.

You need to be at least on a14

Ok. Im not sure how to check that…

Go to system and check your Android version

Thanks! Its Android 13, so unfortunately i cant check the battery life. Thanks though
