I'm stuck at step 6 of unlocking the bootloader on my FP5

https://doc.e.foundation/devices/FP5/install

I’m trying to follow this guide, after the web downloader didn’t connect to my phone after installation. I found the problem here, which is how I got to the link above, but now I don’t know if I might’ve had to delete something first? Or maybe the adb and fastboot isn’t set up properly? Does anyone have an idea of what this could be?
I keep ending at Waiting for Any Device no matter what I’ve tried

Phone is a new Fairphone 5 that I just bought, functions fine on the standard OS (I unfortunately only found out about Murena’s shop after purchasing the phone… idk how I missed it but here I am)

9/10 this is seen in Windows, due to not having a competent driver for Fastboot mode.

Open Windows Device manager with the phone connected in Fastboot / Bootloader.

Look for :warning: Problem device , probably right click on the problem and expect Windows update to search for and install the required drivers (the driver may include “combination” in the name).

Thank you!
I might just go and take this as my prompt to also get Linux, I’ve been considering it for a while anyway.

Should I try your suggestion first, you think? Or just restart the process later on Linux, once I figure that out?

Getting and installing drivers is a perfectly standard annoyance with Windows, but as it should take only 5 minutes why would you not do it … Unless you are in other ways unhappy with your PC with Wndows.

Make sure to look for optional updates, here’s an animation from a Fairphone support article …
