Install issue Pixel 9 pro

Hey com,

I tried to install e/os in my Pixel 9 pro.
during the single steps I just get to point " Installing a custom recovery using fastboot"
finishing this point and make the recoveryreboot will stuck me in fastboot mode error: boot failure
what may cause this issue?
I tool the recpovery files boot… from lineage and recovery.img from e/os?

thanks for your help!

Hi @observer welcome to the /e/ forum.

Can you confirm that your phone was previously running Google stock Android in

The required version is Android 15

It might be improvement to get the “additional partition” secondary image files as [Walkthrough] Extract eRecovery and boot images using payload-dumper-go

downgraded to Android15 before starting the process.

I did your walkthrough but still the same error :frowning:

tried everything again from Android15

still the same issue. Something wrong with the vendor_boot_b?

how can I try to use boot_a?

Am I correct that you are showing no fails on your terminal?

So the next instruction is

Manually reboot into recovery mode

The next workflow may look odd first time you see it.You are required to do button presses to boot to new recovery – without wiping your newly flashed “recovery” partition.

Any action to do a regular boot to recovery will result in “boot as standard” – this would be bound to fail.

I don’t know this device but check out the “hypothetical” as explained for a Samsung.

many thanks for your help.

unfortunately, I have no fails on my terminal.
I tried the new recovery method, but still the same “boot failure” error.

Samsung explanation doesn`t solve the issue, too :frowning:

I tried GrapheneOS with the webinstaller and it runs fine…

anyone else with an idea?
