Installing e/OS on a Android 15 Fairphone 4

I was planning to switch my Fairphone 4 on /e/OS today and prepared my phone all day, thinking I was good but turns out there isn’t a release yet for Android 15 on fairphone 4.
(I’m feeling frustrated I’ve done the 14→15 update like three weeks ago)

What are your advices ? Is downgrading to Android 14 doable and/or risky ?
How long is Android 15 support going to take to appear ? (I won’t wanna have to lose another day cleaning my phone in three months please)

I’ve seen things regarding the bootloader bricking the device in case of downgrade (https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18896094650513-How-to-manually-install-Android-on-your-Fairphone), would that mean that as long as I don’t lock the bootloader during the time of the switch 15→14→/e/OS it’s good ?

I’m not skilled enough to try things on my ow, still learning about the vocabulary and all

Erhm yes a mistake on my side, tried to post a message with a link that was creating an error ?
Had to wait 30 min to edit and be able to remove the unlisting, idk why it’s still here

Please be sure to read the details of the anti-rollback hazard here Install /e/OS on a Fairphone FP4 - “FP4”.

The script is perfectly capable of change of Android version. A fastboot ROM is used which fully wipes the phone.

The documentation does not cover community builds where a16 is available

Either a14 or a16 will install fine on your a15.

Hi @Daeltam I suspect this thread was unlisted in error.
