Installing Murena email on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Having issues trying to install Murena email on iPhone. I was receiving emails but couldn’t reply to any plus now they are kicking back as undeliverable. Please advise.

Please can you give the version and source of this product.

iOS 18.5, I am using the /e/Foundation configure protocol to load my mail: (incoming :mail.ecloud.global ,SMTP: mail.ecloud.global , server port 993) using SSL, authentication Password

my guess

  • if you’re on a free murena.io plan and you saw a LOCAL_BL_FROM message, you hit an outgoing quota per hour to protect against spammers
  • undeliverable: sending to microsoft email addresses (live, outlook, hotmail) get rejected since April for every user at murena.io (grouped to a S3150 error msft lists)

Wow I never even saw it coming, but to now not receive or send emails is totally insane but I do get it many want to spam accounts ect, if I purchase storage space of 20gb+ I will be able to send/receive emails?

according to that thread with official statements by manoj, the paid plans do have either no or a greater sending quota.

But atm you can’t escape the rejects to any Microsoft owned mail domain until resolved - if that was the main issue and not the quota, only you know.

As far as sending email to Outlook.com it does kick back as undeliverable so it’s something I cannot fix. But the iPhone issue, how do I handle that? I was getting emails not they have stopped; I log in on my laptop (Windows) and they are there. I am curious if I go back to my Android phone would I have the same issues?

port 993 is proper for imap on incoming, for outgoing it’s 587 but with STARTTLS, not SSL from the get go.

Did you use https://autoconfig.murena.io/ to set it up? it will prepare a mobileconfig file for direct import. If you did and it doesn’t work, OutgoingMailServerUseSSL could be at fault. If you go into the settings, change SSL to STARTTLS where the port 587 comes up.

Have tried it, not getting any results, so that’s why I do the manual setup. When I had my Samsung Flip 5G never had any issues. I was able to get email from multiple providers, Outlook, Yandex ect.
